What’s the role?

We're looking for a super-talented, motivated and driven QA Engineer to join Chatloop, the world’s first social web browser. As one of the first hires in Engineering, reporting directly to our new VP Engineering, your goal will be to shape, build and deliver a world class experience across our mobile and web platforms.

Do you want to join us on our game changing journey to make every website social?

Day-to-day you’ll be responsible for:

• Planning and execution of test strategy for all new features
• Shape the companies QA Strategy and continually look to optimise it.
• Create and maintain automated E2E acceptance tests for efficient CI execution.
• Support and mentor developers with test automation of API and web/mobile application UI tests
• Perform manual regression testing on high value areas not covered by automation.
• Triage and qualify defects and issues and assist team to track and prioritise.
• Continually look to improve processes and implement new strategies.
• Experiment, collaborate, learn and debate.

Requirements

• A QA advocate with proven experience applying QA across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience testing mobile applications both manually on device/emulator and via automation frameworks/tools.
• Comfortable mentoring and supporting QA best practices.
• Experience developing E2E tests for Web applications with Cypress or similar
• Exceptional eye for detail and experience developing robust acceptance criteria.
• A talent and instinct for productive exploratory testing

Nice to have

• Experience developing lower-level test automation, Unit/Integration tests, in any language.
• Experience testing APIs and contract testing
• Experience with Load and Performance testing

Our interview process typically consists of an initial phone screen, a technical interview with the VP Engineering, followed by a final culture interview with other members of the team.
